Engine parts sourcing enquiry checklist for distributors

For an engine-parts sourcing enquiry, send the OE or cross-reference number, engine platform, required quantity, estimated annual demand and destination. SGS Engine Parts works with Czech and EU distributors and wholesalers re-exporting into Europe, the Middle East and Africa; the part, assembly contents and supply terms are confirmed before quotation.

What to include

InformationWhat to put in your enquiry
Part referenceThe OE number, cross-reference or part description you have. Keep its letters, suffixes and separators, and say where the number came from
Engine platformThe engine or application you are enquiring about, with the selection information its programme asks for
QuantityThe quantity required for this enquiry and the estimated annual demand, where known
DestinationThe delivery country and your intended timing; delivery eligibility and terms are confirmed per enquiry
Assembly contentsWhether you need a single component, an assembly or separately supplied items. Ask for the contents to be confirmed
Your businessYour company and contact details, so the requirement can be reviewed and discussed

Include what you know. If a reference is not on the published list, send it with the quantity and destination so the requirement can be reviewed. A listed reference starts an enquiry; it does not establish stock or fitment.

Add the selection information for your programme

  • Ford 6.7L Power Stroke: start with the reference. The overall programme covers 2011–2023, not every reference on every vehicle in those years. For the roller tappet and adjuster, specify whether the adjuster is needed fitted or separately. Use the Ford 6.7L programme and the roller tappet and adjuster guide.
  • Selected F-150 gasoline applications: include the engine generation, model year and VIN. The programme carries additional selection warnings, including hybrid-specific confirmation and bucket-tappet measurement. Read the selected F-150 references before enquiring.
  • MAN/DOOSAN: include the exact engine type and serial number as well as the reference. Displacement alone does not confirm the application. See the MAN/DOOSAN programme and the identification guide.

Use the reference index to find the published number. If the only number you have is marked on the part itself, send it as written and say where it was found; the part is identified before quoting.

What is confirmed with the quotation

Minimum quantities, sample and series lead times, packaging and delivery terms are agreed for each part and programme. A catalogue listing is not a published commitment on price, stock or delivery timing.

For GM, Cummins and Cat references on the development page, the stated production start is planned for 2027. Those listings invite expressions of interest; the quotation status and timing of each part need confirmation. Keep a development enquiry distinct from an enquiry about a currently listed programme.

When engineering documents are needed

Technical specifications and inspection requirements are addressed in the customer engineering package, shared directly under a non-disclosure agreement. If drawings are needed, SGS Engine Parts agrees how to share them after initial contact.
